For those who aren't informed, Egyptian's accent is considered the most comical and easiest dialects in the region, as I'm told.

Sarubobo's!! How fun are these!

Made a couple of them as toys and keychains, I'm going to give them as gifts once I find the right time.

I do have a funny story to share, when I showed my friends this friend sarubobo fellow, they all thought "ZAGOON!" That means "Poopie". Somehow it reminded them of a story we told one another while we were having a slumber party about a poop and its adventures in the bathroom and in the human's bowel...

Euw but.. damn, I found it super cute!

In order to "hide" the fact we called him Zagoon (To avoid strange stares from other people..) we nicknamed it Onko, meaning poop in Japanese. But in that case, it'll be safe.

Very few here speak Japanese anyway.

You know, making onigiri has always been puzzling.

I can never submit an exact answer cause I don't know what it is.
What do you usually stuff onigiri with?

I'm a person who likes creativity, but I also appreciate authentic so it breaks the point of making a Nihon-poi snack if you go "international" with it. I'm not sure what they stuff it with..

I suppose it's alright not to know because I'm not Japanese...
That doesn't build up much as an excuse because I DO use the internet excessively and should be able to find articles about it...

Whenever I painted in the past, I was blocked by the thought "This is boring," unlike shadows and lines, colors never moved me.

Really, I can't understand colors well like other people somehow..

But somehow my best friend Dochan told me to try, even though I still have my reservation about colors, I am enjoying concepts and thoughts of my new illustration.

It's quiet refreshing show-casing new ideas! I will carry this on!

This was done for practise, it's pretty much fun.
In the future, I would like to use different sorts of clay approciate for ceramic works.

Making funny expressions is something I find quiet interesting, somehow grotesque.

Since it's air-dry clay, I've been thinking of ways to perserve it.
Bought gloss varnish and man, does it smell!
One thing I learnt from this material is that it leaves a darker state to the figure.

For practise, still not so handy in making spoons but I'm getting the hang of it.
Will document the shapes later~

Even though I actually did ruin the final image I had for this little guy, I'm pretty much impressed by how primitive it looks. Heheh.

Osamu Tezuka, Satoshi Ohno, Nara Yoshitomo and more make figures of their original characters.

I thought I'd try it out, just to feel what it feels like.

I feel the bright sun shine! Real, fresh and alive!

Doing what I love and am maintaining it, it's a far away cry from the depression state that I was going through 3 years that made me crippled and uncaring to my own talent.
It feels like a dream to think that I actually stopped from drawing for a long period time...

The progress that I see now? Excellent! I have but God, my dear friend Dochan and Kuchi to thank for lending me support and remind me how brave I can be. Thank you!

SO! What /am/ I working on? I created my first CD cover as a gift for a colleague of mine in class, ask me why I did so? I think she's amazing, so yeh... It's nothing gay, I'm just platonicaly impressed? Hehe yeh something like that.

You might notice but I can only sketch... I rarely color (The cd cover was a MIRACLE in itself!)

I've been self-learning Japanese for 4 years now, what got me interested?

I really, really love kanji characters!

I love the stroke lines, the order, the meaning with a extra stroke or lacking off.

It's wonderful, playing puzzles with characters is just so me.

I managed to finish Kafka on the Shore despite my reluctance to end such a great story!
The style is very alien to me making it a truly fresh read.
I believe I'm slightly changed because of it. Hehe.

14.MAR.2010: Me and my best friend Dochan were invited by the Japanese embassy to attend a special dinner at Kei restaurant, attended by others and some Japanese students studying Arabic language and culture in my university

(Saki san, Hitomi san, Takura san -cant's remember the last ones' name... Sorry!)

Let me tell you, the food was delicious!!!

Being half orient it wasn't a disgust to look at the food; unlike the reactions to some others.... (Dochan was very brave and actually found it pleasant to the sight and scent! She's great!)

Basically, they brought us this large bento box (A lunch box) filled with small trays with their own special corner holding little watery food to choose from.

A combination of good company, pleasant scenery, music and the rain falling in the night light background (and of course, food) set the evening on the right track.

I'm posing with Saki san, as for Dochan she's with Hitomi san. Thank you ladies, we had fun!

I dont recall the Japanese name of my favorite dish here...

(it's the one in the upper right corner, the black little seaweeds! YUM!).

I suppose oden would be my second favorite, tastes so much like a dish my mother makes in the holidays.

Woke up early today. What a lie.. Alright, I woke up late and compensated the lost by making this stuff bunny!
I sew it using ragged fabric! It was very difficult making it because the seams are extremely delicate and the needle would put it out of place occassionally.

Fortunetly, patient was on my side and it all ended up adorably.

Decided to take a shot of these, some were posted in an older blog of mine but I suppose I'll be closing that one soon. So, better put it up here for future goggling.

The Bear: Made for a game we were playing in the longue called "O No Arashi" Based on a real life segment of a television show where the artist Ohno Satoshi would pick a couple of pictures are random and draw it in a manner fitting all of the images chosen.
We did the image except it didn't involve photos instead we wrote anything that came into mine. For this was "Bear" and "Water" in that instance, I remember that famous clip of a polar bear stranded on an ice. My heart somehow ached drawing this as I recalled that helpless animal alone.

This was done on the last minute for my stand in the exhibition I attended last year.

The idea was a rich looking man, who's got a poor rather creepy setting in the back.

How old are these? Two years old!

In the left is a little man with big head equal the big head is screaming PLEH. Can you guess why?~ And yes, he has THAT much of a tiny body hehehe.

In the right was this angelic image that was stuck in my head!

Ah! I really like it very much, maybe I should make a serious one out of it!

I still feel weird when foreigners think it's a desert and people travel by camel rides. My own cousin got suprised when he saw tall buildings in our capital. Somehow, it's very stupid.

Usually when I get a story stuck in my head, I run ahead to sketch it. I'm happy that this habit of mine is bad after a two year pause.

I made a new animal pocket out of denim fabric this morning, I forgot to take a picture of the inside fabric, for what its worth, it's brown with some nice embroidery. Took me 3 hours to make. Watching Detective Conan sure can be detracting, especially after finding out you had a movie in your HD that you haven't watched yet!

Kwa~! I have to admit, I'm impressed, animal pockets are so cute to make!
Plus, I love these fabrics my best friend gave me, they're so beautiful to look at!

The lightning in both photo are different because I didn't set my camera right the first time I took the shot, but it would have been a waste to just delete it.

The cloudy-yellow hue on it gives it a warm feeling! The inside of this cute bunny is blue, gives a good balance with the blue drawing lines in the pajameez fabric~

The insides of this mini cat is a red/black&white fabric I had months ago~ Finally put into good use! I love those floral buttons on these critters, looks like pins! Besides, it's great using my birthday gifts in something I love!

Let's see, let's me see~~ Ok. Is it just me or I'm developing a very nasty habit. You see, it's whenever I try to tidy up a certain area in my bedroom that I gradually tidy up the whole place... For instance, I bought new chocolate to celebrate the spring break so I brought in some tiny basket and cups so I can put them nicely beside my bedside and what happens afterwards? I pull EVERYTHING out of its place and start cleaning up... Look at the mess..

Papers, magazines, drawings and other things surrounded my corner (Where I usually do my work, the here sign on the photo should give you a glimpse of where I sit most of the time -yup, on the floor-) I still haven't finished cleaning up the paper mess I did...

I believe in the truth of being happy of the simple things, even the plain.
But then, the term "simple" in those things change into "magnificent", groovy!
How long has it been since I heard that word, hehe!

I enjoy cloud gazing, be it sitting or standing or I just happen to look out the window.

They're so funny to look at, yes funny.
Never saw a cloud and laughed? I do..
It's a bit awkward when passing strangers noticed your wide grin smiling up, oh well. The cloud still makes me laugh.

Its amazing how they change; fluffy; magical and even scary clouds sometimes show up!

Today went to a class trip with Dochan, it was supposed to do good for their project. (I'm not sure though, I'm not in her class... Was only a snopping guest! Hehe!)

I'm glad she included me in this day; it's a special day that's engraved in my memory now!

I soared looking at animals and listening to the guide's fun animal trivias!

I enjoy being ignorant about certain things that way I can relish from the joy of learning new things!

I burnt it severly last time, this time, I undercooked it, hehe!
But the result wasn't unsatifying, it tasted like pancake! Honest!
It was delicious with cream and jam!

Spending My Time with Them

It's always fun seeing friends choosing ice cream!
Choosing your flavor and/or toppings can speak loud about yourself~ And nothing pleases me more than spending time knowing my friends.
My best friend Dochan1 had white cream topped with sprinkles and almonds!
Tasty delight, except I didn't like how the sprinkle would make me munch too much..

What about me? I chose pistacio topped with rasberry and blue berry!
Dochan didn't like how sweet the pistacio flavored cream was...
On the contrare, it was just right!
Ju~st right!

I like carving, well, I gues you'd call this carving! It's really fun using the X-Facto knife, hehe.
But I must be very careful when I use it, its very sharp!
And used purple ink to showcase how it looks. The outcome is very cracky.

I'm still lacking when making rubber stamps, but I'll do my best!
I'll do my best!!!

I probably should dedicate a post about this little bear, his my little plush bear! Well, more accuretly Do chan's bears'; she carries it all the time. I adore him!

When Candles Start Singing

Today is my birthday~ I turn 21 today! ^_^)
When time stroke 12, my best friend gave me a call, asked me to get a cake of any kind, light
a candle and started singing to me various versions of Happy Birthday! I swear to you, it was very cute!

I think I cried, but I'll pretend I didn't because it's a bit too embaressing~...

Thank you very much Do chan1. At a time when I felt sad inside, you managed to lift my spirits.
Thank you, God bless you with happiness for both your soul and mind!

So what happened on the daylight of my birthday -today-?
I woke up frightened and excited by the sight of Dochan in my bedroom!
I was like "WHY ON HEAVENS IS SHE DOING HERE?!... And why is she looking at my photo-print of Ohno Satoshi2?" She was there to suprise me with a box with cake in it and a jar with Vimto! YUM!

We hugged and hugged, gave a kiss on the cheek and she left.
How I wished memories such as this were recorded in a tape! Still, it's a memory I will always remember! CARVED IN MY HEART! Under my skin!

The first year we celebrated my birthday, she baked me this cake..

I fell in love with it instently! I just LOVE sponge cake, all I ever get at home is Black Berry Cake or something with jelly...

I really REALLY do not like jelly or jam in cake. I rather cream!

This sponge heaven with strawberry and chocolate cream topping is just right for the heart!

I love it!

Last time it looked like a dome, this time it looks like a crown! HO HO YOUR MAJESTY! Hehehe~ Sorry for the lameness!~ ( *^w^*)

Up until 10AM making this, well, plus watching a Japanese drama.
Watched around 11 episodes all night - I skipped 3 episodes .. Yes, a party pooper! -

I didn't do a good job on the lace (Which by the way, is BEATIFUL up close!).

Still, I've seriously taken sewing as a hobby for nearly 6 months so I'm pretty happy and give myself a pat on the back!

I couldn't sleep so I decided to go grocery with mum and make lunch.

Made corn chowder, it tasted very good, but something was missing.Something tangy? Better prepare some lemon next time I decide to make this again.

I like how our dirty the kitchen window is (No matter how many times mum tries to clean it away, it doesn't seem to go ... ) It's only natural I suppose, this building is older than me and my brother combined.

I'm not a neat-germ-clean-it-away person, so having a lil dirt inside the house, yes, even the kitchen doesn't scare me.Nor does it worry me that my friends and family are eating food created in a place like this.I give extra care when food is around and always make them with care and love~ Hehe!

That's the secret ingrediant in every recipe, well, that's what they say.

Not really. It's all in my head, to be going fishing at this hour, usually I sneak a peek outside and see the sun coming between the buildings.

I pretend to be by the dock looking at the sea, or imagine myself eating breakfast on the ceiling.
